Happy School Bag is offering a simple way to fundraise by collecting and buying quality second-hand clothes.
Happy School Bag offers schools the opportunity to raise funds and help our environment by keeping valuable reusable resources out of landfill. Besides getting money to buy much needed infrastructure, equipment or having a fun trip, this cost-free scheme actively promotes recycling and encourages children to become involved in waste reduction. A scheme suited for all schools, from playgroups to colleges, regardless of size. Small schools may wish to invite their local community to participate to raise maximum funds. Clubs and other organizations are welcome to join too.
How it Works
- Happy School Bag arranges a suitable date and time with the school.
- They send out bags and posters one month before the collection due date. This is to enable the school enough time to distribute them to all the pupils and to allow all participants enough time to prepare.
- Parents and teachers fill up bags with unwanted clean clothes, paired shoes, handbags, accessories and bring to the school on marked collection day.
- On the collection day the Happy School Bag driver will arrive to weigh the bags and then load them into the van. They will issue a receipt on the spot with the sum you raised based on the total weight of collection.
- Happy School Bags transfers the money into the preferred bank account.
