Astra Recycling is a Hampshire-based textile recycling company on a mission to divert used textiles away from land fill and raise money for schools and community services in the process.
Astra Recycling would like to offer a free textile recycling bank to your school. Children, parents, and staff can donate unwanted shoes, clothes, sheets etc and they will pay the school for what they collect!
It’s an easy way to earn some extra funds as well as doing something really positive for the environment. 350,000 tonnes, that’s around £140 million worth of used but still wearable clothing goes to landfill in the UK every year. This equates to more than 30% of our unwanted clothing currently being buried underground.
There is no cost for this service, Astra Recycling will provide your school with a free textile bank and collections service.
