Hands-on activities for all key stages & abilities; making learning fun and the complex simple for over 25 years.
Architecture Workshops, has been running hands on cross curricular workshops, in schools for all Key Stages and abilities since 1996. Their STEM & STEAM orientated workshops challenge, enthral and educate in equal measure.
The genius of their workshops is that they only use wooden dowel and rubber bands to build many varied and wondrous building models, structures and sculptures, through which they make learning fun and the complex simple. Using gross and fine motor skills, creativity, problem solving and teamwork, the workshops promote higher order thinking, growth mindset and resilience, leading to increased self esteem in participants. The workshops empower learners with the key skills of a modern workforce; The ability to think creatively, work collaboratively, problem solve imaginatively and persevere resiliently.
‘Thank you so much, I was flooded with messages all evening from parents telling me how great you were as a facilitator and how much their children enjoyed it . Home educated children can tend to be freer and more playful than their school aged counterparts but I think, on the whole, behaviour was pretty good (apart from a bit of band flicking!).’ – Shereen Amin, Salford
Home School Group, 2022
‘We loved the workshops, all children were engaged and learnt a lot.’ – Rebecca Timms, assistant headteacher, St. Stephen's CEPS, London
‘I wanted to pass on my sincere thanks for a fantastic day of designing and building today. Alice was an absolute superstar and worked incredibly hard to make sure the children got as much as they could out of the workshop. The children were blown away by the results they could achieve and I was blown away by their teamwork and positive attitudes. I will definitely be encouraging other colleagues to look in to your workshops.’ – Cathy Spence, Great Malvern Primary School
‘I would like to say a massive thank you to you and to Mrs Huang for the amazing workshop she carried out with the children at Calverton on Thursday! The excitement and looks on their faces said it all. I have not as yet been able to write down their numerous positive comments (that will follow soon) however all in all it was a great success so thank you very much.
I am hoping that we ill be able to book our next year session as soon as possible.’ – Sylvia Mintah, Calverton Primary School, London
