Local Grants & Support

Coronavirus Community Fund Funds are available for either project or running costs but work supported must be aimed at strengthening communities and/or strengthening the organisations that provide vital support to communities.
Council for Voluntary Service (CVS): East Riding Voluntary Action Services - ERVAS The Charity for Charities and Communities, providing support for organisations covering the whole of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Council for Voluntary Service (CVS): York CVS Supporting and championing York’s voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector to make positive change, challenge issues and grow new ideas to strengthen communities.
East Riding 4 Community Available for to all organisations including community and voluntary groups, charities, town and parish councils, sport clubs, schools and social enterprises.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council-free school meals online application Apply for free school meals on by online application.
East Riding School Sport Partnership (West) The Partnership forms a network of primary, secondary and special schools providing sports competitions and event, professional development for teachers and school staff and specialist support from the team of School Sport Coordinators.
East Riding Schools' Music Service The Schools' Music Service provides a comprehensive instrumental and vocal teaching programmes within secondary schools, special schools, primary schools and junior schools.
East Riding Voluntary Action Service Supports and develops local voluntary action and services. Information on setting up and running voluntary groups, funding, finding premises, training and charity registration. Information on local voluntary organisations, community and self-help groups.
Forest School Association - find your local group For the advancement of education for public benefit through promotion and support of quality Forest School in the United Kingdom using any means to enable all children, young people and adults to benefit from increased opportunities for high quality and varied educational experiences in the natural world. Search for FSA affiliated groups.
The Hub School The Hub School aims to provide an alternative approach to mainstream education which caters for individual needs.
Sanctuary’s Community Investment Fund Sanctuary’s Community Investment Fund provides grants for community initiatives which make a difference to the lives of Sanctuary residents.
School Clothing Grants

To be eligible to claim a clothing grant, your child must be moving from primary to secondary school and both schools must be in the East Riding boundary and you must also be resident within the East Riding boundary. Please note: that clothing grants are not payable to children moving from primary school to an Academy.

SHINE Trust - School Grants SHINE offers support to projects that can make a real difference to the attainment of children from disadvantaged backgrounds in the north of England.
Spaldington Wind Farm Community Fund The Spaldington Wind Farm Community Fund currently receives an annual contribution from the developer.
Two Ridings Community Foundation Two Ridings Community Foundation is a hub for donors to channel funds directly to grassroots charities. All Community Foundations (UK)
Withernwick Wind Farm Community Fund The Withernwick Wind Farm Community Fund currently receives an annual donation from the developer. 

Yorkshire Gardens Trust

The YGT has a history of supporting schools in various ways and also has a 'YGT for SCHOOLS' scheme.
