MARKETING

  • How did you promote your fair? We had a flyer printed out around a month before. Letters were sent home via the email system and stickers in homework diaries. We also used our Facebook page
  • Describe any particular success you had with your publicity: We felt the flyers worked well, and we received several comments from parents about them. We printed all the details about the fair on one side and a list of upcoming events on the other

PROFIT/ WRAP UP

  • What was your target? £1,800
  • What were your outgoings? £1,851.36
  • How much money did you raise? £2,276.23
  • What would you do differently? We would amend the layout, so all stalls were accessible and easy to find. Make sure that everyone is singing from th same hymn sheet and that spends are approved before anything is purchased!
  • Stalls you wouldn't run again and why: Tin can alley and teddy tombola, as we found these were quite dated
  • What is the best advice that you can give? To be confident, take criticism on the chin and also learn from it. Work closely with the school - they always want to help where they can. Parent volunteers are great and are always willing to help - don't be afraid to ask! Have a clear leader and lay down rules regarding spending

OTHER FUNDRAISERS

  • How else do you fundraise throughout the year? Discos, cinema nights, fashion show, race night, quiz night, pantomime, Christmas fair, summer BBQ, summer camp-out, Mother's Day gifts, Father's Day gifts, Easter egg hunt, football tournament, nativity costume swap, promise auction
